The word LIBRARY is derived from the Latin liber, “book,” whereas a Latinized Greek word, bibliotheca, is the origin of the word for library in German, Russian, and the Romance languages.

A library is the centre of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material.

A Library serves the need and requirement of the faculties / students towards reading, studying and research. The SMPC PUC Library is spacious enough to accommodate hundreds of Users at a time with an exhaustive collection of over 6,000 books, subscribed Magazines, Journals, News Paper, Manuscripts, CD’S & DVD’S , Bound Volumes and News Paper clipping are also maintained.
